Wondering about the probate timeline and process
|
4/11/2025 10:14 AM (PST)
Never had to deal with anything like this before, but after my uncle passed last month, I was told his estate has to go through probate. I’m not even sure what that involves or how long it usually takes. Does it always have to go through court? Any steps I should be preparing for ahead of time? Just trying to understand what’s ahead and how to make it smoother for everyone involved. Any advice or insight would be much appreciated.

Going through probate can feel overwhelming, especially if it's your first time managing an estate. From my experience, it helps to understand that probate is essentially the legal process of validating a will and settling a deceased person’s estate. It often involves court procedures, which can be time-consuming. Fortunately, I came across this resource when handling my father’s estate—this Scottsdale probate attorney offers a clear explanation of the steps and documents involved. They break down common issues and even explain when probate might not be necessary, which saved us a lot of confusion. Would definitely recommend checking it out.
